Every year we hold events to benefit the Georgetown community. We promote fitness through walking and running on roads and trails throughout the year.
Please join us throughout the year in celebrating fitness by joining us as one of our races.
• The Opossum 10k – March 22nd, 2014
Run the beautiful country roads between Georgetown and Granger. This race features a timed one loop 10K run/walk with sponsor booth, music, cowboys on horses, and tons of fun!
• Poppy 5K & Kids K – Cancelled for 2014
We weren’t able to work out a location with the city for this year’s race. We’re already working on making sure that will not be an issue next year.
[Georgetown Running Club is bringing back the Poppy 5K & Kids K that was previously organized by the City. The race raises money for the Red Poppy Festival which takes place the following weekend.]
• The DAM Mile – May 2014
This fun, club race is a one mile run (or walk) across the Lake Georgetown dam followed by a potluck dinner.
• Predict Your Time 5k – September 2014

• Turkey Trot – Thurs., November 27th

• Vern’s No Frills’ 5k – 3rd Saturday of each month
